| On the ice off Hains Point, Washington DC, 7 January 2001. A bird from the "N-dimensional gull space" of arctic Canada! Close to thayeri, but perhaps intermediate between thayeri and kumlieni. It seemed too "frosty" to be a classic thayeri. Similar to average or large Herring Gull in overall size. I was unable to "back off" enough to get all of the bird in one image.
